The Laboratory for Industrial Robotics performs basic and applied research within the fields of robotic systems, mechatronic systems, industrial robotics and automation of production processes, computer-aided control design, electric vehicles and servo systems. Special emphasis of our research activities is placed on advanced control algorithms for different mechatronic systems and electric drives.

We are also developing embedded systems for dedicated applications of mechatronic systems. The knowledge and experience gained from research work is constantly transferred into teaching activities with the special intention of familiarising students with the new technologies. During the educational process members of the laboratory cover different topics such as robotics, servo systems, microcontrollers, control technology and industrial automation, modelling and simulation. Theoretical lectures in classrooms are intensively supported by practical exercises in modern well-equipped laboratories.
